Boba Tea!!!

I know this is different, but it was so fun to make I had to blog about it. I made a Strawberry Matcha Boba tea! This recipe is from feed meimei's youtube channel. She makes a LOT of boba tea, so I had to try one of her recipes.

Just a reminder: Make sure you have ice and milk, any milk works.

How to make the boba:

Boil 3-5 cups of water for 1/4 cup of boba or 10 cups of water for 1 cup of boba.

A 1/4 cup of boba is enough for one drink, so if you are making 3 or more drinks,

then boil 1 cup of boba.

Boil the boba till it floats to the top, set it aside, and let it simmer for 2 minutes.

After that drain the water and place the boba in a bowl.

Mix 4 tablespoons of brown sugar into the boba, mix till the sugar dissolves and becomes syrupy.

Let's make our drink!

Strawberry Matcha Latte:

First we are going to make the (kind of) strawberry puree.

Each drink needs 4-5 strawberries, chop them into pieces and place in a jar.

Put 1 tablespoon of sugar for each 4-5 strawberries.

Get a mortar or something to mash with, mash the strawberries till juicy or like a puree!

Heat it up in the microwave for 30 seconds and set aside.

Now for the matcha! In the video, she used organic japanese jade leaf matcha, but I used matcha from daily harvest. As long as it's matcha, it's good.

One drink needs 1 teaspoon of matcha.

Put the matcha in a bowl with a 1/4 cup of hot water (not boiled).

Stir with a whisk till frothy.

Finally, let's assemble the drink!

1. First, the boba

2. Strawberry puree

3. Ice

4. Then pour the milk, but make sure there is an inch of room for the matcha.

Here is what my drinks looked like. I didn't make the matcha frothy enough and I made too much boba, don't do what I did!

This is a great drink to have along with other desserts, or there is no problem to drink it by itself!
